ABOUT ALCIDE MARSHALL
"You can call me Al"

Al has been standout in the bay area music scene for the last three decades. Following in the footsteps of his father Eddie Marshall, Al has forged a career backing a who's who of bay area talent. Whether it be providing the pulse for the young hip hop and r&b artists or keeping the pendulum swinging with his jazz combos. Al always comes ready to play. He has played with a wide range of local and national talent including Michael Franti and Spearhead, El Debarge, N-Dea Davenport (of Brand New Heavies), Rich Little, Mary Wilson of the Supremes and on the local side Mingus Amungus, Alphabet Soup, Jungle Biskit, Los Mocosos, to name a few.

Along with being a formidable and reliable drummer he has spent the last twenty years learning the parameters of the corporate entertainment world by working at Associated Entertainment Consultants under his mentor Gig Xifaras. This is where he acquired a wealth of knowledge and gained the understanding of the fact that music is a business and should be handled as such. From the first consultation to the final note played every detail must be precise to ensure a memorable event.
